Side effects of Reductil
Genuine Reductil has been extensively tested and research has proved it to be a safe medicine. However, as with most medications, some people may experience some side-effects to a certain degree. Whilst the majority of users do not notice any adverse reactions, it is best to be aware that it is possible to do so. But remember that each person is a unique individual, and experiences may vary from user to user.
In a recent medical trial, only 20% of people taking Reductil reported any noticeable side-effects. Most occurred at the beginning of the use of the Reductil programme, during the first four weeks, and after that initial phase the reactions lessened in frequency and severity (Information from the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry).
Here are some of the most common side-effects that a user may possibly experience whist using Reductil to aid weight loss:
Headache, dry mouth, sweating, impotence, abdominal pain, difficulty sleeping, anxiety, kidney disorders, hot flushes, depression, pins and needles, heart palpitations, seizures, increase in blood pressure, aggravations of haemorrhoids, increased heart rate, constipation, or nausea.
As a general precaution, Reductil may affect your ability to operate machinery or drive a vehicle, so it is recommended that you don’t do so for a few days, until you can assess if it has caused you any side-effects. You should contact your health care professional if you notice any chest pains, shortness of breath or ankle swelling when you take Reductil.
There are some people that are not able to take Reductil. It is not usually thought wise to undertake any weight-loss programme or weight-loss medication whilst pregnant or breast-feeding. This means women should use efficient contraceptive measures to avoid becoming pregnant whilst taking a course of Reductil. Reductil is not thought suitable for those over 65 or under 18. People with a psychiatric eating disorder, such as bulimia nervosa, or a mental health problem such as manic depression, should not take Reductil.
Reductil can have a slight tendency to raise blood pressure and increase your heart rate, so if you have a known history of higher than normal blood pressure, you should carefully monitor this whilst on your weight loss plan. Reductil should not be taken at the same time as any other weight loss medication, either a prescribed one or an over-the-counter herbal remedy.
If you undertake a considerable amount of exercise, it is possible that you may not lose weight in the initial few weeks of taking Reductil, or you may even gain weight, as your body’s metabolism adjusts to the new regime and starts to build muscle which is heavier than fat. Also, a sudden and significant decrease in food intake will also affect your metabolism, as you body struggles to adjust. This style of crash dieting is not recommended, and it may mean you still experience hunger pangs and will fail to lose weight safely and steadily as recommended for permanent, healthy fat loss.
